Is the hosted version really free?
Yes. Kopai Cloud is free during the beta, with no credit card, unlimited seats, and unlimited API calls.
What changes when the beta ends?
Kopai Cloud moves to storage-based pricing, so you pay only for storage. It is one simple price that grows with your app.
What does storage-based pricing mean?
You pay for the telemetry Kopai stores for you, not for seats or API calls. Both of those stay unlimited.
Can I self-host instead?
Yes. The open source backend is free forever and runs on your own machine or your own infrastructure, with community support.
Do you charge per seat or per user?
No. Seats are unlimited, and Kopai will never charge per seat.
